The GM28A fuel tank is for the 1955-1956 models. The 1957 models used a GM28C and GM28D which included a breather tube near the filler neck location.
We imagine that this was added to help the filler neck breath when filling the tank.
This tank is the 28A which will fit all three model years dimensionally. But it does not have the additional breather tube in the tank for the 1957 models.
